Scenario :: 3-Nov-2009


Desmond has been married for five years now and has two children with Dede. They have a six year old girl and a two year old boy. For the past two years; they have been living apart though not divorced because of her constant lies. Desmond says he got upset with her lies; and moved out for a while - only to return to find her packed out- to her mother’s place. Efforts to convince her to come back proved futile since her mother in- law constantly intervened.
It was whilst at her parent’s home that Dede conceived and bore the two – year old. During one of your usual visits; last week, Dede revealed to Desmond that their two – year old son belongs to another man. According to her, she got in touch with an ex – boyfriend and after an evening of drinks had an affair. She said that even though she visited Desmond over some weekends, the seed had already been sown by her ex boyfriend.
This revelation has been a big blow to Desmond. His spirit has been dampened by this news. He is in shock and denial. Dede has even dared him to subject himself to a DNA test if she doubts what she is saying. Desmond feels humiliated; for this is a boy the whole world thinks is his son and bears his name.

What should Desmond do? Let’s help advice him.

BOLA, HE SHOULD GO FOR THE DNA TEST TO BE SURE. IT IS POSSIBLE THE BOY IS HIS. AS FOR DEDE, THERE ARE MANY WOMEN LIKE HER. MOST MEN ARE LIED TO BY WOMEN. MEN BEWARE OF WHO YOU CALL YOUR CHILD. DEDE IS VERY WICKED.

Desmond should have DNA tests on himself and both children. He should then take the child that is proved to be his own, whether one or both, and walk on and away from this woman. There is absolutely no need for Desmond to subject himself to this stress. If any of the kids are his own, he should work hard to take care of them. But he should definitely walk away from this woman.

I think that this marriage is over because of the lies, but desmond should still do the DNA do that he can take care of the child if it is his.

Bola from the unset everything showed that the lady was a flirt and she has told Desmond point blank that she is not faithful so why should he continue with this kind of marriage he should go for a divorce but should alwalys take care of the kids

mmmm bola l think enough is enough if l was desmond since these wasn´t her first and last she was liein to him. she really mest up but for the DNA test HE should do it and found out if the child is his so that he can take care of the innocent boy, if the child is not for him he should then send them away to go and meet that idiot so call boyfriend thx

Bola, this revelation on the part of dede is shocking. When wait a minute Bola, when you look at Desmond's situation is one of those, where you will have the man been very faithful, dedicated to the relationship and the woman not being faithful. Yes.

But have we asked ourselves why?

When it is the other way round, say the woman being faithful and all that then the man not being faithful, that is a normal thing, that is how most people will look at it even the family too.

am not saying what the woman have done is right.

Bola this is the world we are living in today. Some other stories are very very sad but Desmond have the courage to come and seek advice from us. i will say to Desmond shouldn't do the test. He should leave it and move on though its difficult a good counsel should help and all will be well.

I think Desmond shd have learnt his lesson a long time ago, after all thos lies. He should go for the DNA test on himself and the two kids, and advise himself. He may also consult his Pastor for more advice.
